How do we attain salvation?

“But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.” And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.”

Matthew 9:6-8
  • We are to know that the Jesus is in authority
  • Have faith that He alone can wash away our sins (not by our own works and not through man, only through God)
  • Glorify God in your salvation by understanding that He is the sole giver of salvation and it is not by our works or schemes that we find a seat beside Him.

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Romans 10:9-10
  • Honestly Believe in your heart that Jesus has washed away your sins through His death on the cross.
  • Be confident in the fact that Jesus is the king of kings and Lord of lords.

So…

Salvation is a gift from God paid for by Jesus’ redeeming blood to wash away our sins, allowing the light of the Holy Spirit into our hearts, giving Him the throne in our lives. You attain salvation by believing in God’s divine power, authority, and sole giver of eternal life and redemption. By believing these things, you understand God’s authority and give your heart to Him as His subject in His kingdom. Salvation is the deliverance from death, victory over sin, and the promise of a prosperous future in Heaven.
